International Women's Day (IWD) is a global day celebrating the social, economic, cultural and political achievements of women. The day also marks a call to action for accelerating gender parity. These are different activities you can do:

- Watch this video: Ellen Degeneres talks about Bic pens for women (!!!).

- ESL Video Quiz. Watch this 1:50-minute long video.

- This Listening Fluency lesson (Deep English) takes a look at the Khasi people of North-east India, where women rule. In fact, the balance of power favors women so strongly, that some men have formed men's liberation groups to fight for more fairness and equality. That's quite a difference from most of the rest of the world, where men are still paid more than women and enjoy many other advantages in society.

- Here's a text on Women's rights and multiple choice comprehension questions.

- "She's not just a pretty girl" (2002) by Shania Twain.
